XROCK SOCIAL BLOG ... VOLBEAT SIGNS WITH METALLICA'S MANAGEMENT COMPANY

VOLBEAT SIGNS WITH POWERFUL U.S. MANAGEMENT COMPANY

Volbeat has signed a new management deal with Q Prime, the legendary New York-based music management firm that has guided the careers of acts like Metallica, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Def Leppard, the Black Keys, Muse and many more. Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen said in a statement, "We are truly excited to join forces with Q Prime as our management team for the Americas. We're honored to be amongst such great bands as Muse and Metallica and to be able to work with such a great organization."

Volbeat got its first big break in the U.S. as openers for Metallica and drummer Jon Larsen told us a while back what his band learned from them: "I guess just soaking up the vibe of how everything works on a Metallica tour. Everything was so professional that we couldn't believe it, and how calm those guys are. I remember clearly watching James (Hetfield, Metallica frontman) walking down one of the halls in the arena one day -- he said hi to everybody, and he knew them by name and he knew exactly what they were doing. That's definitely something that you can pick up and say, 'OK, that's the way to do it." who can play Johnny Cash's 'Ring Of Fire' and their own 'Hangman's Body Count' in the same set is worth managing. We are looking forward to plunging into the wildly imaginative world of Volbeat."

  •   Volbeat will return to North America this spring for one more five-week run in support of last year's Outlaw Ladies And Shady Ladies album, beginning on April 24th in Denver. Support will come from Anthrax and Crobot.
  • Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies has sold more than 300,000 copies in the U.S., alongside hundreds of thousands of digital singles.  -- Article featured on XROCK 103.5

    Social Networking Via Xrock Social

It's Time to network via the Xrock Social Website. If you love Rock n Roll and you meet others that love the same music, it's just fucking divine. Rockers are a unique breed. We are solid. We are defiant against over zealous authority and we express ourselves with rock music. We are a band of brothers and sisters. I don't meant to get so fucking corny, but we pride ourselves knowing we have music with balls.

I know there are places out there that rock is obsolete. I know there are places out there where no one knows the music, except you. You are the discoverer of new rock music and the classic rock. Maybe, your parents introduce to the best rock songs of the past. Maybe, you just stumbled upon it. If you did, you are lucky. There are new hard rock bands rising from different continents and you should know who and what these bands are about. You need to get to know the music. If you rediscovered the past rock, you should pay close attention to the new hard rock. It's awesome.

The best way to listen to rock music is via the internet. If it wasn't for the internet we'd both be lingering to crappy songs on the radio.I will give you thy wisdom of a great social networking website and bad ass rock station. Pay attention.

You can share your love for Rock Music & Heavy Metal by going to Xrock Social. It's a brand new social site. You can exchange new rock music & videos, listen to my rock station Xrock Laredo, or you can download any rock music you want on your own xrock social page and share it to the rest of xrock social site. This is a great way to meet new people who love rock music.

Also, if you have a band, you need to join Xrock Social to get your band notice. Place your videos, music to share or sell. Place for hire posts on your site and start getting gigs. You can also write your own Xrock Social blog to attract an audience. Of course, we got Facebook (which I fucking hate) but XROCK SOCIAL site is where rockers should gather to discuss, promote and distribute their music.

Join Xrock Social.com. It's free to register. Go there now.

ROCK ISN'T DEAD ... IT'S KICKING AND FUCKING SCREAMING!

With such bands as Trivium, 3 Years Hollow, Rival Sons, Black Veil Brides, Dead Man's Theory, Powerman 5000, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment, God Smack, Sons Of Texas and more rock bands raising the rock vibration across the planet, we give salutations and thanks to the rock gods who were watching the music industry. Rock is not dead. It's thriving. Sure, it was deprived, neglected and surely over-shadowed by other crap in the music scene, but it never completely went away.

Call it heavy metal, hard rock or just rock n roll, the times for headbanging, good times and just enjoying the adrenalizing effects it has on the mind and body, its a damn good thing.

Gene Simmons was dead wrong when he stated, "Rock is dead". Maybe, he was talking about his band KISS's inability to produce a decent new modern rock song. I don't know why he said what he said. Sure, KISS has awesome classic songs that will be forever held in people's mind, heart and soul. The memories that they created for the listener is priceless - and the world thanks you! But don't condemn all rock artists who are out there pushing and grinding to make a name for themselves. Gene Simmons should know the complications with the music industry and the changes through-out time that make the music scene complex.

For all the artist, the need to create music comes from the soul. Rock music is good and it's still here. Enjoy 2015 folks because this will be a thriving ROCK year.
